Russ Owen is President of Strategic Account Development at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where he is responsible for developing growth and partnership strategies with the company's top 25 and strategic clients, as well as developing deeper client and industry executive relationships along with assisting the CEO with key strategic projects.
Previously, Owen was President of CSC's Managed Services Sector, with global responsibilities for the corporation's $6.7 billion global IT outsourcing, World Sourcing and India Applications and Technology Services business. He served as Group President of CSC's Americas Commercial Group, with responsibilities for the corporation's consulting and commercial business in the Americas. He also was responsible for the planning and establishment of the global industry verticals and was the lead executive for the integration of Covansys, which was acquired by CSC. Owen has held numerous senior executive positions of increasing responsibility, including Group President and Managing Director of the BAE Systems Global account within CSC's European Group, President of CSC's Global Infrastructure Services Group, President of the Chemical Group and Account Executive for the DuPont account. He played a key role in winning and operating several of CSC's largest commercial relationships. Additionally, Owen served as Vice President and Account Executive for CNA Insurance and Vice President and Account Executive for Lockheed Martin® Tactical Aircraft Systems, Vice President of Operations for the U.K. division and Vice President and Director of the British Aerospace account, where he played a key role in winning the British Aerospace outsourcing contract and establishing CSC's outsourcing capability in Europe. He joined CSC as Director of Computer Services at Technology Management Group's Western Center.
Before joining CSC in 1992, Owen was an Engineering Director with General Dynamics® and held positions of increasing responsibility in program management, information resource management and computer-aided design and manufacturing within the data systems division and the electronics division.
Owen serves in numerous charitable and public service roles for the ThanksUSA Board of Directors, the Bender Advisory Board for competitive employment of people with disabilities, the Pennsylvania State University Shreyer Honors College External Advisory Board and Junior Achievement® of Delaware, where he served on the Board of Directors as Board Chairman.
Owen earned bachelor's of science and master's of science degrees in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University.
